Comprising a collection of seven buildings, each with a handful of luxury condominium homes to total approximately sixty units, this is one of the newest neighborhoods in our part of town. Formerly the site of hotel "Eco-Safari", a collection of older brick bungalows, respected real estate developer Sr. Fernando Rivera carefully saved the historic trees and plantings, and some of the original retaining walls, to preserve the charm and ambiance of the original buildings. Sited on a small rise, it affords a near 360-degree view of the Bay and surrounding hills. Even on the warmest days, a gentle breeze finds its way up to the shady common area. What everyone appreciates and remarks on is what a quiet, peaceful oasis Selva provides despite its proximity to the shopping, restaurants, and nightlife that makes Puerto Vallarta so attractive to the visitor and tourist alike. Within five minutes walk you can be on the Playa Los Muertos pier, playing in the surf, watching the sun set at your favorite beach bar, or enjoying one of the many fine restaurants in the area. A few extra minutes stroll puts you on the world-famous Malecon, a half-mile walkway bordering the ocean, which offers endless free entertainment and mingling with local people and visitors from around the world. No taxis or buses are needed, as Selva Romantica is located in the most walkable and accessible area in the city.
In addition to the wonderful location, the resort offers the largest infinity pool south of the Rio Cuale, plus a huge spa tub next to it. A large common area on several levels in the center of the development offers different views and quiet gathering spots, along with a full gym (with ocean views!), sun deck and shady palapa with overhead fans to keep things cool.
